silent fragments

infringed tingles drench my senses
barricading most sounds
except for the lyrical deluge
of mature bells

Author notes

"It's not a cry that you hear at night. It's not somebody whose seen the light. It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah." Jeff Buckley

Thanks. I like to learn about new things all the time.

I like this piece. Can almost feel the sound rather than hear it! Nice.

I see from a comment below that this is in reference to some instrument, but when I read it I though of this:

I see wisdom over the headlong rush of romance? That ringing of new love should always be tempered with a tad of pragmatic thought.

Well for me, I'm making believe that is what you meant.

    Beautifully expressed!
I love the quote that you included for further explanation of the feeling one gets when listening to this beautiful instrument...I will check back since your note says that you are not finished, but I think that your poem is gorgeous....very expressive!
    Ty for entering!

This is lovely in it's understated simplicity. Very nice.
And the buckley quote really pieced it together for me.
