Screaming Thoughts

Cluttered thoughts, confusion;

separates the known,

creates a wall of burdens

between flesh and throne.

Fills the space where know-er is

with chaos of the mind,

unable to communicate;

leaves known alone and blind.

As the mind becomes cathartic,

without tranquil grace;

it develops a cycle,

never ending chase.

Unaware and sleeping,

it looks for joy in vain;

it searches for fulfillment

for emptiness and pain.

For the mind that wonders

cannot see,

their thoughts will lead

to misery.

Only in stillness of mind

is the light,

where know-er and known;

align, unite.

"The highest possible stage in moral culture is when we recognize that we ought to control our thoughts."
Charles Darwin

    OMGosh... Just left to stare (almost)

    You have outdone yourself with this one (to me anyway). I loved it from the beginning, the middle and the end. Wow'd me throughout. What a 'mind full' here. So many fav lines left a tasty-lingering on my brain-buds. Especially these:

    "Unaware and sleeping,

    it looks for joy in vain;

    it searches for fulfillment

    for emptiness and pain."

    Excellent job Pisces...I have a new favorite write by you. I'm bookmarking this one. Thank you very much for the insight and sharing.

    [Edited: Oh yeah, and I absolutely loved this line,
    "creates a wall of burdens"... how did you think up that one? I'm kinda jealous..hahaha].

    Very good and thought provoking. Makes one start watching their mind where it is the backbone for who we are.
