Some Kind Of Girl You Are

Some kind of girl you are, smoking cigars in a world so far
Stars in your eyes, overrated desire taking you high
singing songs on gold covered pathways, that's you
unequalled in each rolling day

And people everywhere should believe the asperity there
permitting, as crazy you've been to bleed for higher orbits
Riding on rainbow clouds in velvet bliss

Yeah some kind of girl you are, choking all the highways
for a simple kiss. A degree of excellence eminent in your
eulogy, forcing former friends to question your ideology

Of this past equation you now need guard against, for
once you gain insight into futures unfinished, something
quite nasty will happen there

Occasions of madness rolling around in your minds despair
a mind insecure in visionary thrills, trapped by cheap
expectation on the uphill
Left in the hands of justice, killing unfit desire

Oh some kind of girl you are, blowing the world in your
perfect car, and nobody could love you again

That's you trying to be an angel in a world of men, sharing
your love for desires law abiding. That is you unable to hide
crying away tears on a midnight spin,
your nights spent in opaque moments

Former friends feel the pressure there coherent, quintessential
minds driving you blind, taking all you ever desired into the red

Yeah some kind of girl you are, not a nice thing said, scarred
for life by stupid mistakes, tomorrows child unknown
in the face of fear
People everywhere crying blood tears, vexed at your sudden whim

Xenophobia plunging you into deaths maxim, a smart cry for
yesterdays bloody extremes, your world dressed up in muddy
dreams. Yeah that's you stuck on zero, unable to rise from
the murky shallows

That's you alright, under excessive constraint on roads to nowhere
breathing in the poison unprepared

Yeah some kind of girl you are, some kind of girl on a mission far
trapped in a world overgrown, and the friends you left behind in
broke zones, should they be chuffed you did it alone
Oh some kind of girl you are, singing the blues on a river far

Author notes

If success means leaving your friends behind, would you walk the line on gold covered pathways? One who has never traveled that road may wonder if the life there would be as they dreamed it should be.

I have had to leave friends in my life and anything gained was not nearly worth the loss of them.It may seem to make you happy in the begining but you do feel loss and bitterness at the choice you made. The writing on this was perfect and the flow went well.I do like your choice of title.Good luck in the contest.

Nice job. I enjoy money and respect as much as the next person. I have had both in the past. I would rather die poor with one good friend to mourn me that die wealthy with no one to care. I find that your best friends are the ones you make when you have nothing.

beautiful. You get your point across quite nicely. I love the way it transitions and the bits of sarcasm. It's really good. I think a lot of people DO think it would be easier, but I believe no matter what road you are on, you're going to have problems.
