To sleep I went
Carelessly
But in my dreams
You were there
Waiting for me
A year has gone by
Oh, how I miss you
How I fought
To rid myself of you
Yet there you are
In my dreams
Hiding
Waiting
To catch me off guard
To make me happy
If only for a night
I feel so numb
I can lie
Tell others I am fine
And long for another dream
But you will not come
When I beckon
It's only for you
I feel you all over me
Crawling on my skin
Like a bad virus
Looking for a way
Into me
To destroy me
You broke my heart
You broke my spirit
You even broke me
In my dreams
You still love me
Your still there for me
So alone when I awake
Lonliness to tears
Leave me to my pain
Leave my dreams
The sins of my flesh
Are no longer yours to endure
Their mine to suffer
Days turned to weeks
That turned to months
Which eventually turned
To the year of hell
That's I've gone through
And tonight
When I dream
