Skin Deep

They say beauty is only skin deep,
To look's we seem to worship and to reap.
But then there's ugly, ugly to the bone,
Negate the attractions, and then pick up that stone.
What is beauty when you rate it alone,
No competition, no tears to moan.
Adam and Eve didn't realize, not desired to care, it is shown,
True beauty is realized, revealed, all but alone.
Hence a battle rise of Gods & Goddesses to stunning to let pride seep,
You stand there alone once again, and realize it is only skin deep.
