Letter

This morning I wrote you a letter
Sweat was dripping down my spine
Chicago sounded like an emphysema victim
Pencil touched paper
And a piece of my heart fell through the lead

I told you that I loved you
And I do

I told you that I missed you
You have no idea how much

I have the gravitational pull of the sun
But only on you
You captured me
You don't deserve me
You know it
But I want you anyway
Just...
Do something to deserve me someday

Promise?
With a pretty green necklace
Just like my eyes
Your eyes

Be careful darling
That's my heart in your palm

Author notes

Dear the boy that I love...
You have been splendid.
I want to leave Chicago to be with you but I can't. I really can't and it makes me sad.
Just, love me until I can do something about it. Ok? I'll be back in your arms in a flash, the longest flash ever.
I'm so sorry.

Don't go back to someone who's not worth all this emotion!
Anyway, lol, its none of my business what you do, but poetically this is one of your best peices. It's emotive, relateable and has that certain spark that comes out when you really, really mean something. Loved
