I Feel Like Death

You bought me a rose yesterday
The day I said goodbye
Although you've forgiven completely
I still can't help but cry
I almost didn't get up
This morning, I almost stayed in bed
I had to remind myself
There's still more living ahead
I'm gonna miss your kisses
I'm gonna miss your touch
I'm gonna miss your love
I've never missed anyone so much
But I can't describe the joy I feel
That you still wanna be in my life
That you still wanna talk and be close
Though reality still cuts like a knife
I know my decision was right
Though it doesn't make it hurt any less
In time this pain will heal
Though it doesn't mean I'm not now a mess
All I could ever really ask for
Is just knowing that we're still fine
And I only hope things will change in time
And one day you'll again be mine

    this is an interesting write. Not often that the two who break up can still be friends. I would think that would be very hard to do. Thanks for sharing this and thanks for entering it into my contest.
