There's a butterfly floating,
Beautiful luna-moth-green,
Her wings are torn and shredded,
But she's flying just the same
Milkweed drifts 'cross gossamer
That's satin-soft to touch,
But thorny at first glance
Her soul is soft as a baby's laugh,
But her mask is hardened steel
She's flying high and higher
Upon the winds of change
There's a butterfly floating,
Beautiful luna-moth-green,
Her wings are torn and shredded,
But she's flying just the same...
