Sometimes things are not meant to last.
The people you meet somewhow fade away from your existance.
Emotional connections still remain intact,
leaving it harder to say good bye.
Love goes past a girlfriend or a boyfriend,
it deals with a human being.
Compassion is a key that is used in all interactions of life.
This was taught to me.
Rogue by nature this i be,
though not so much a rogue anymore.
Attachment beyond what i had previously known,
this is what broke a leaking dam of feelings long forgotten.
A lover by default this what i am,
i cannot help but give some care to some humans.
I am what you consider an immortal,
a soul that is eras older than my physical body.
Heart break is nothing new to this one.
Plans changed and what a life i have led so far...
The people that influence the paths i had taken,
they are the ones that left me behind in eras past.
Though yet another leaves me on a perminate basis,
there is a time in yesterday's eyes that remains bittersweet.
Lessons were taught and that what she was meant to do for me.
The lessons taught shall and will be put into practice in later days.
Now, this Rogue Shadow is in mourning over her.
Nothing was ended on bad terms, both were good intenions.
This one is just sad that the time we spent together was too short,
but a short time that will be cherrished for an eternity of my remaining days.

i'm not going to go into detail about this... needless to say i think it speaks for itself.
i wrote this for me and to express my emotions for this one person. they know whom they are, and they know how greatful for how i was to meet them.
i know this isn't a final good bye but our paths don't need to be intertwined at this point and time from what fate has to say.
i'm sure they will once more in the near future.

I really identified with this. People come and go in our lives, but they leave their mark forever. You are right; "Compassion is a key that is used in all interactions of life. This was taught to me."

Wow what an amazing write yes life can change so unexpectedly. I know many friends in my life have come and gone and some have come back in later years. I have learned to cherish the time no matter how long and always keep my heart open to the future for their return. I pray they come back in the future. Thanks for sharing hugs Theresa
