ooh, I like this. The imagery is great, and the structure gives it a very soft/reflective feel... The 2nd stanza kind of threw me, because I was thinking at first it would be a loving sort of poem, (foundation of a good house...understanding...) but then I realized it was about leaving/being beckoned away. I had to go back and re-read.... This poem is very strong because it is kind of ambiguous...it's got multiple layers and really makes you wonder. Great job and excellent luck in the contest!
