you can never fill up a mess and call it messier.

you grabbed
and held on to the wings
of a skylark
with tearmists
you dressed
my lawn
like christmas lights

I have never
felt christmas
in the rumbles
of a differentsighted
shack
where mother was a muslim
and father didn’t care
he sermon-ed and moaned
to drunk buddhas
he met while street escapades.

you bit
and held on to the wings
of icarus- a baby eyeless bat we named
when we were thirteen
and halve our height
which reached the elbow
of mother’s crystal ball
on the dwarf skinned shelf

she buries glitter snakes in it,
we found it
don’t tell the landlords

she buries pennies under mattresses,
we pirouetted pretense dance
don’t tell the bastard

now you suck
and hold on to the remains
of a bird
that could have been.

I sense youthful energy here... soon to be a genre in itself... (I'll have to create the sub-categories myself someday, I don't like the current ones...) so, thinking like a poet, speaking like a poet; today, you are a poet, tomorrow, who knows...

    wow

I'm not going to correct any grammatical or w/e errors because this poem was well done regardless. Creepy in a slightly abstract way, and making me feel it before I fully understood it. Nice.

Bah. You know, your imagery always makes me drool. You just have a way of really making it powerful and show your emotions threw it.

I loved the idea behind this piece, to be held down by those around and their own lives... the burden of being trapped, no wheres to go. I, I get it on my own personal level; as you have written it on yours.

I love pieces that feel like.... feel like they are me, like they say the things that I never could.

    Fantastic.
