Halloween

Waiting,
lucid against the moon in all my bloodless glory,
I am patient.
Animal desire boiling in my veins,
I linger beside houses,
glowing with spirit and candy,
perched on the edge of control.
Children toddle near me,
oblivious to my hunger,
chubby hands and faces and necks
pumping with luscious syrup.

And I am waiting.
For when midnight strikes,
it is time for the feast.

This is chilling and beautiful. It's very haunting, and you used fantastic imagery.

    EMBRACE IT

"You must embrace the fear," he states in a british accent. "Otherwise, the significance is lost!"
