Gleeful kids, masqueraded to scare, play trick-or-treat,
loading their bags with colorful candies from door to door.
Glimmering at night, jack-o'-lanterns eerily produce heat,
gossips of horror stories prevail, ears are ready for more.
Settled around bonfires, families and friends meet,
dressed aptly, they relish Halloween's holiday for sure.

A simple, but beautiful poem that captures that crazy and magical night. You make the experience very real for all of us; especially those of us who choose to forgo the streets, and instead, hide in the house with the lights off. Congratulations on your silver trophy.
Blessed be,

This just made me smile.
I love it when poets create their own forms. There's going to be poets out there writing in a form of your own creation, and that is a wonderful thing. This piece brings to life everything I love about Halloween with my family. Thank you for expressing it so creatively!
