I am a Grandma's age with
a Grandma's heart, but I
was ostracized by my children.
I have grandchildren, but
have only seen one - the one
I raised for almost three years.
They resented my new husband,
who demanded respect from them
for me. . . they hit me and beat
me too... my son held a gun on me.
Then I met Theresa.
She fit right into a pocket of
my lonely and most sad heart.
She gave me a grandchild
who is the center of my heart.
We don't care about blood.
We are family in ways many
blood relatives cannot or
will not be.
Now little Jasmine is
the grandchild I so longed for.
I have pictures galore and
happiness you cannot imagine.
Thank God for Theresa,
who never judges and always
understands the human heart.
Theresa, you kept me from doing
something very final and absolute.
How can I ever thank you?
I can tell you I love you and my
new family more than life. . .
May we never drift apart.

My heart goes out to you after reading your write.I felt a lump in my throat as I read your words,and what you went through, I could feel the tears welling up and getting ready to spill, but as I read further along, I then felt such happiness for you.
Family does not need to be blood,actually some friendship families are more loving than real blood families.I am so happy that you have found the love and swetness in a family that you so much deserve.
