Change that became Pain

To change the flow of life
And feel such guilt afterwards
Was it a loss or strife -
Heavens don't send you nods

It was my choice indeed
But empty is now the part
Of me that cries and pleads...
It all was a house of cards

A deep sense of regret and acceptance of loss is well expressed here in few lines..

Change is painful but sometimes it need to happen.
"Heavens don't sent you nods". I guess that means the change doesn't have to meet with the approval of others. That is so true but it's hard when you feel you are doing it on your own.

"It all was a house of cards" Great line.

I'd rather say that you can never be sure for 100% in your choice. And hesitations still live in you and this is a trouble. Especially when you feel that there could have been one more way out. But you failed to notice it.
Thank you for your comment. I'm really glad that this verse caused desire to meditate in you.

Unfortunately it is so true. But "life is life" as it's said in one song, we choose and either regret or not.

Thank you for your words. This write is initially very sincere. May be that's why you found it "great".
