Up to his hocks in deep snow,
the rabbit bumped into the doe;
Said the rabbit quite bold,
"Cor blimey, I'm cold!
but I've a missus and babes down below."
The deer raised her head to this buck,
and replied, "Oh, no ~ that's bad luck!
If you'd put off your fling
and waited 'til Spring,
your life wouldn't currently suck!"
The rabbit just glared at the doe,
then started to puff and to blow;
he threw out his chest
(it's what he did best)
and cried, "S'no picnic, you know!"

Clever!
Thanks for entering. This is quite adorable. With the excepting of one word that's off color I love this. Your timing & rhyming here is sharp & I've never seen a 'limerick' poem like this before! All the best in the Contest.
Thanks for the big smile you gave me!

Funny
I just love this. You really saw it from a different angle. Love the accent and the whole feel of the work. A funny little ditty that gave me a Monday smile.
