October

At summer’s End, there's a chill in the air
That emflames your soul like a Will-O'-The-Wisp.
Autumn comes suddenly in mid September
Stirring the season with a crack of his whip;

Overhead the sun still shines brightly on
As September loses her lease and gets evicted
October winds howl at the early dawn
And moves in quite rapidly as predicted;

Season of the witch and harvest moon is here---
Time of Jack-O-lanterns and tricks-or-treats.
With October's fury comes much fear,
As the ghouls and monsters prowl the streets;

Yet with October there's also splendour,
As it surrenders to sweet November.
