(and enough is NEVER too much)
It wasn't with words that you bewitched me,
or gifts aplenty given;
it wasn't a spell whispered on the edge of desperation,
no, it was your soul,
that I glimpsed through your eyes
into heaven.
My breath caught,
became the essence filling your lungs;
my eyes grew wide,
becoming your sight beholding me;
my touch became your embrace,
enveloping me in such sweet bliss unknown.
I don't know what I would do,
what I would be,
without you.
For you have become a half of me,
my better self;
holding me high in the soft twilight of our love,
(holding my heart within your hands)
and I am lost forever in the starry eternity of your eyes.
...So I give up.
