Everyone’s going to side with the shallowness
As if that’s the only thing that matters
And the truth is ignored
And reality is all that they show on the news
As if that is the worst of the world’s troubles!
Scribbles of happiness and complaining about other emotions
That shows someone’s despair, that shows someone’s hurt
What’s age have to do with it?
There are some things that little children go through that adults are strong enough to withstand
That bring on more trauma
That bring on more hurt
Age doesn’t mean ANYTHING.
Why don’t they pay attention to the things they USED to consider news, that they don’t give a crap about because it’s so common?
It’s so common and it’s killing us!
Little kids are raped by their own parents
Raped by people their parents think are trustworthy enough to care for their child,
Kids who get tricked into doing drugs,
Get tricked into joining gangs,
Get tricked into porn,
Being prostitutes,
Kids who are given up and have to move from foster care to family over and over and sometimes result in their legal parents giving them up OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Not knowing the BIT of pain they inflict!
Age doesn’t mean ANYTHING.
It only means how much time estimate is left on your hands until you die!
In reality, all we are is to keep the population alive, to save our own kind.
We have so much more important things on our shoulders, and yet adults and even some US complain about how ridiculous they look, how disproportionate they think they are, how their love life is being drowned in the toilet, how their expenses aren’t going good for them.
THINGS ARE SO MUCH WORSE that what YOU think is reality!
What do YOU think you’re saying when someone is overreacting when they are “emo”
What do YOU think you’re saying when everyone should be “happy” and enjoy life
Maybe it’s hard to enjoy life when the wrong kind of people are living in it?
There’s no way to describe happiness
And what is happiness if you’re going to end up wanting more of it, it that’s going to make you unhappy in the end?
They’re tired of sitting and staring alone in the distance in corners being misunderstood
They’re tired of being stereotyped as happy little kids who don’t know ANYTHING about the world
Don’t know the reality of the world
The pain
When all we do know is that the world is worth being hated.
Author notes
This rant/poem was based on a rant by Myusikah that she threw at me when I said I didn't feel comfortable with emotional poems. All credit of this poem must go to her. She just didn't want to write this.
Here's the original rant.
"Eh. Probably because most of my happy poems are to benefit ignorant people who seem to think that 12-year-olds write any less better than adults, and I wanted to prove them wrong. I just wanna say that people who think so have low self esteem, because they think that the age difference is so important.
Some little kids may have been through more traumatic experiences, and the adult world would think that they've got it tough!
Seriously, pay attention to the things they USED to consider news, that they don't bother talking about anymore because it's so common!
Little kids being raped by their own parents, kids who are being raped by people their parents think are trustworthy enough to care for their child, kids who get tricked into doing drugs, kids who get tricked into porn, kids who get tricked into being prostitutes, kids who are given up and have to move from foster care to family over and over and sometimes that results in their legal parents giving them up OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Little kids who are beaten and practically inches from death because their "punishments" are so severe.
Honestly, age doesn't mean FUCKING SHIT, it only means how much time estimated is left on your hands until you die! We don't belong here on Earth, we belong in the afterlife, because God made us this way.
He KNEW that some people would end up not believing in Him, trying to prove every silly detail about him wrong. Well you know what?! Nothing is impossible for God --- Luke 1:37, so don't go blabbering about how things don't make sense.
So in reality, we're only here because we're trying to win the population over, to save them. We have so much more important things on our shoulders, and yet adults (and even some kids) complain about how retarded they look, how disproportionate they think they are, how their expenses aren't going good for them.
THINGS ARE SO MUCH WORSE that what YOU think is reality...
Besides, those aren't Happy poems, 'cause emotions don't always exist. There's no way to describe happiness. What's happiness if you're gonna end up wanting more of it, if that's gonna make you unhappy in the end?!
I'm tired of sitting and staring alone in the distance in corners being an emo piece of crap!"

Damn. I scare myself.

I should go back and be honest on AP now. Bye.
That rant hurt my eyes.
Thanks for giving me credit, but I don't deserve it. And, the poem doesn't really need an Adult tag on it. It's not...disturbing or anything.

The 'age thing' ... yes and simply what matters most is who you are, not how old you are. Good poetry, good art, good Good... is what it is because of what it is and not because of one's age. There are a few young writers here who's writes are far more advanced in taste and intelligence than at least 50% of all the other stuff.
There are things that age can bring though and one of them may be that this 'happiness' question can become more answered, in that it isn't an added 'thing' to be acquired or not. The greatest happiness is found in the freedom of the natural condition of truly being yourself, despite all the secondary considerations. A freedom and recognition of gratitude to be alive and that all greatest Good is pure gift.
Age doesn't necessarily bring about such recognition but it does bring more time to have verified it and become more established in the security and belief which makes this 'gift' evident and real.
'Things' are not only 'so much worse'; all is also, so much greater, far greater than most often is imagined.
I'm going to stick my neck out further and say that true 'Happiness' happiness lays in the discovery of one's self, not as a victim bemoaning their lot but in the very real praise and gratitude of being given Life, just as everything that has been given life partakes in this.
I think I've likely rambled enough here...
Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!
Sol
