Dark skies, shadow
witches screetch in the night
tiny people with sweets
with hidden eyes
Round orange cast
sitting on porch steps
waiting for spooky silence
as the moon lights the night
Goblins and ghost
mingle with the living
sharing treats of the night
October at its end
Tomorrow faces will reapear
as they once were
just another trick in lifes game
to get where we need to go

This evokes that one special night in October we all await... I like the hidden eyes of the tiny ones and how the faces will reappear - the real trick of that trick or treat night. The sharing of sweets is such a sweet American custom; it is finally catching on here in Germany.
