Postcard Love Letter (The End)

I hoped that one day you would come to California, make a home with me in a house on the beach, maybe we would have closed a church for our own wedding, creating memories we'd share with our grandbabies. I stood right in front of you, praying one day you would see me the real me, whose heart cried out to be loved by you, to be a part of you. I asked you for things that you were unable to give, knowing that, I still cried when you didn't come through, I know now you and I will never be together again, there is no place in my heart for the pain that you've caused, I love you, but things will never be right again.
Good-Bye My Love

Author notes

The saying goes: "If you love someone, let them go, if they come back than it was meant to be" I'm letting go...

Here is the original poem. (below) I wrote this for the person my heart loves.. but who's heart doesn't love me. I am sorry I was unable to give you what you needed when you needed it.. I tried...

California is beautiful, I passed by a church that was closed for a wedding
Reminded me of that time in Santa Fe and the fun that we had
It’s a world I wish I could share with you, the ocean breeze, the scenery
Maybe one day, we can live together in a beach front house
The waves crashing on our front porch, toes in the sand, staring at the stars
We can make love at the water’s edge deep into the night, breathing in the fresh air
Maybe one day, when things are right, we’ll be together again
I love you.

    Criss...

I like the postcard love letter...it is softly and sweetly saying a firm farewell...the sincerity of the longevity of the relationship that was sought was compounded by imagining the grandbabies...

...also liked the original poem...the pensive and personal words straight from the heart...

...love hurts...yes...but love has legs...they may feel lost now that they are not walking towards a dream but away from it..but they are resilient...able to wear different shoes...and breathe barefoot...

    When one door closes
    another appears
    We must step on forward
    no matter our fears

    When one person enters
    with time will be gone
    For music keeps changing
    along with the song

    When one sun is setting
    a new day will bring
    New choices be forming
    our pick will be King

    While pain in releasing
    still new growth is found
    To keep us up firmly
    and safe from the ground

    Hugs...Eddy

We must always give our love...unconditionally

I'm so sorry that it didn't work out :-( I hope that someday you'll find that special someone that will treasure you as much as you do him. Never give up hope. Maybe this guy will come around, from what I can tell he's missing out. Keep on praying, when I think about it, Ill pray for you as well.

Growth is sometimes difficult, this seems to be a step towards a destination...bold step on a journey and we are all on a journey... an affirmation here...Pk
