I love the month October ,
with its warm colors as winter brings on springs sleep.
It brings a brisk fresh smell ,
upon the gentle breeze .
Colors of pumpkins and golden leaves,
falleing like snowflakes and then .
We run about getting ready for halloween,
gathering candy with a grin.
October is the month of thanks,
as thanksgiving brings such love.
For family and friends and laughter,
always seems to be just enough .
To know the hollidays are on their way,
some begins their shopping for Christmas this very day.
For in the stores with music to cheer ,
its a time of blessing for the whole year .
Now as this October comes to an end ,
look about you and give thanks for your family and friends.
Know that in this life we all have a choice to be free,
and that choice is blessed by you and me.
