Age one,
A kermit in a box,
Age two,
Little brother came along,
Age three,
a broken arm,
Age four,
an unkept promise,
Age five,
a shattered hope,
Age six,
a hacked off fringe,
Age seven,
a demolished cot,
Age eight,
a new town,
Age nine,
a forgettable year
Age ten,
a move to the city,
Age eleven,
she's sick,
Age twelve,
she's gone,
Age thirteen,
I find myself,
Age fourteen,
She allows me to grow,
Age fifteen,
A little crush,
Age sixteen,
Some big news,
Age seventeen,
A year in the cold,
Age seventeen point five,
she's gone, I don't know why.
Age eighteen...
I came alive, I met the one, he made me whole, he's where I begun.
Age nineteen...
He's long gone, and I'm playing games of lost and found.
