When Lani was just a young kitten
She toppled about on the floor
But now she’s a big black go getter
She doesn’t fall down anymore
She stands with her head up and knowing
She walks with a gait that is proud
Her eyes are so black and much wiser
Than others that move in her crowd
She’s as sure as the sun is of rising
Her temperament humble but strong
She knows just how to get by you
And love you when something is wrong
She plays her games just like a kitten
She hasn’t a care in the world
She loves to be loved and starts purring
When up on your lap she is curled
My Lani is just such an angel
In the form of a beautiful cat
My friend who is there for me always
And you can’t get any better than that

Lani was a beautiful cat i once found as a kitten in a pet store. I saw this tiny bundle sitting there with tears running down her face. I couldn't walk past that. She was nineteen when she died 6 years ago. A very gentle friend.

...very nice, well-crafted, as usual. My cat eats, goes out, eats when he comes back, and then goes somewhere in a corner so that he may ignore me even more than he usually does..meh
