She runs fingers over frames
in which she appears
with unfamiliar faces
snapshots the only
reminders of a stolen lifetime
in a mind vacant of every moment
but now

Amnesia or alzheimers ...either way... this is so powerful!!!

Amnesia is a horrible thing for anyone to go through, David was in a bad car accident when he was 30 and he still does not remember his past

Very creative, my dear kindred...how deeply sad and moving...only being able yto live in the moment not knowing anyone around you would be something very hard to deal with...yet I often think it would be a chance to walk away and start over...amazing thoughts as always...

wonderful... how sad not to remember the past events that went with the faces.... i can't imagine what that would be like and this makes me want to remember to be understanding to those who go through these things... one day, that might be me. who knows. well done. thank you
-
Very well written, great imagery and metaphor for the amnesiac knowing only the moment and nothing of how they arrived there. Best to you.

Picture frame might as well be empty- matching her life. That's really pretty brilliant usage of a poetic device I can't remember the name of. I read your birthday poem three different times, but couldn't comment. It was good, just too sad for me

This reminds me of a blank stare. I don't know if thats what you had in mind but that's what I got from it. Well done!
Love,
