Cold winter
Reminds us of retreats,
Alone
Yet God prevails through the storms,
The going down of the sun.
God's sun is still burning,
Even through the winter
Even through the storms.
Snow, pale white like the dove
Reminds us of purity
Pure white cleansing
Pure white robes that are new
Saying good-bye to the old,
Hello to the new you.
Winter cold,
Morning and night.
Snowflakes falling
Cold, sunny mornings bright.
Trees with no fruit,
Lot's of work to do.
Gathering coal and logs,
God brings food for Thanksgiving,
God brought His son for this world.
Throughout the winter wilderness,
Snow capped mountains
Ice covered lakes
The Lord brings the winter
Each season's change
He washes us with new clothes
Thunder, lightning, rain and snow
The Lord came at winter,
A warm winter's glow.

Beautifully crafted piece. I enjoyed it very much. I think the purity of white is why I love the snow so much...it is renewing to me. Thank you for entering the contest.
