Stratiform Rain

Looking at you in the distance my heart flies
But I don't want to get any closer
Afraid that my heart will break

So for now I'll be happy to see your smile
Just a moment of happiness
For you and I
Never a finite soliloquy

But inside I long for your warmth

I hope that one day

That I maybe I'll reside in your heart

Maybe even a kind look from your eyes

Will give me sustenence

For one more day

But I will keep my distance clear

My emotions in check

To avoid my tears falling like a stratiform rain

You did a great job on the imagery, and the flow was pretty good. I think just about everyone has felt this way at one point or another, "Loving someone at a distance" It's always a hard thing to do, and you have portrayed this well! Thanks for entering my contest, and Good Luck!

Very nice and you did a wonderful job of keeping the reader's attention. The feeling you gave me was that I wanted to scream at you and say: "Go ahead, thke a chance!" It has been said: "It is better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all."

    Love,

      My Friend's Situation

This poem was inspired from a situation that my friend was in. I agree with you on this concept. By the way, did you check out my "Little Blue Star" poem.

      Thanks for the response
