When hardships knock me to the ground,
Temptations try to bring me down,
It's these God grants to help me grow,
For seeds of faith are planted low.
Our trials are just the soil we need
To plant that little mustard seed;
With Living Water and the Son,
He'll finish what He has begun.
I'm thankful when He brings me low;
It's proof that He still loves me so
And simply wants the best for me-
It's all just evidence, you see.

Author notes
Let's just say I got the self-righteous wind knocked out of me, so God could fill me with HIS Spirit.
Do you know where you're spending eternity? If not, ask me how you can know!

I know
I like this rhyme, and the content tickles me too. The reference to the mustard seed is just right. I could never explain to my sister that I appreciated (though liking is too strong a word) the difficulties that made me who I am today. Your line "seeds of faith are planted low" is great, and would be a great refrain in a repeating form.

Very true words. Joy comes through our trials. I love how you incorporated the metaphors of soil, seed and water. Very good.
