Can you find the lost shimmer of light?
it's afraid to expose us to its damaging waves.
it's afraid to reveal to us who we really are;
in the darkness.
once the light is found, the waves move faster than the speed of sound.
crashing into our minds, drowning our thoughts with guilt.
Can you survive the truth as it simmers in your head?
almost at its boiling point, wishing he was dead.
Can you risk your sanity for reality?
Can you find the light switch?
it will change your life forever.
it will change your mind forever.
Can you find the lost shimmer of light?
the night is cold and dark.
Can you find the light switch?
the darkness is chasing after you.
never stop running away,
the light is there i promise.
if you never stop running,
the light will appear.
if you keep going,
you can convince yourself it's here.
don't give into the darkness.
it will take you when you need to breathe.
don't let it convince you.
it will change your mind forever.
it will change your life forever.

This is an excellent poem. I cannot immediatly find anything that needs improving. Its very effectivly written especially with the fact that the darkness is all around and you just need the hope that somewhere in that darkness is a sliver of light is amazing.
