sinking into darkness
and lights that sway
falling into heaven and
staying in my hell
walking through the fire
and staying in the cold
staring at the sky and
staying on the ground
standing in my strength
and numbness with no feeling
standing in my tears
and reaching for your hand
depression in it's stage
the intro to the end
an enemy with no face
an enemy that befriends you
depression in it's cloud
the funnel that now builds
an ocean in it's depth
a shadow in it's form
writing with no words
white that turns to black
a darkened glare and ashes burn
a clashing color and battles won
the ink's last stain and damage done
a bitter taste and hunger born
a damning fate, eternal scorn
