A Cleaner Limerick

That much maligned guy from Nantucket
was a wiz with a mop and a bucket
he scrubbed the whole town
without ever a frown
It's a wonder how he ever stuck it

He certainly "cleaned up!" Nice wordplay in your title! Attitude strikes up the band for our dance through life, doesn't it? "Without ever a frown!"

Nice job. A great take on the venerable man from Nantucket. Love the quote you have on your AP page. It is one of my oft quoted favoriites as well.

PJ, yet again you make me smile, you take the mandate of a clean limerick re Nantucket, make it about cleaning and even manage to make the much maligned guy happy so that the limerick smiles from inside out....

Now...if this had been about a different kind of guy he wouldn't of ever wore a frown even if wearing Gloria's gown lmao...

On a deeper level there is a sense of societal /class views that may look down at those that clean for a living and more fool them, for we need the cleaners who are conscientous just as much as we need everyone else...

Off tangent, have an Irish friend who lives in an apartment instead of a house so she tells me she can't clean from top to bottom but from left to right then right to left, she made me smile with her similie!

    Enough rambling my friend,

    Bravo.

    There we go!

An actual limerick, actually clean, and even actually about a guy from Nantucket. Love it. Thanks for letting me believe this can be done. I've had one blatant rule buster, and one gross misunderstanding. Thanks again.

And by the way, janitor was one of my initial thoughts about potential career paths. Great job.

I LOVE THIS!!!! This is so funny, so nice, and it rhymes so perfectly! I just kept repeating it over and over in my head.

    Good luck!
