Not Today
I could create you
With no help of godly hands
For craft
Or for credence
But don’t be discouraged
Or feel those feelings of inferiority
I sometimes envy you
With your conversations
With your shoes
With your math
With your science
With your constant gaze of sanity
With your hair in balance
With your scent hidden in flowery consumption
I sometimes envy you
Though not today, not just now,
The cars driving by are few,
I made a small amount of assumptions
And I found a way to hide the two hemispheres of my brain in the hard old heart of this mountain.
