There is a place, dear I am told
where smiles linger in the crowds
with eyes that glimmer hues of gold
and silver flecks run through the clouds.
This palace here cannot compare
to that peaceful world of splendor
that lies far form the burning glare
yet captures heat soft and tender.
We'll travel there just you and I
and place our words to kiss the earth
on to this world our hearts will fly
while basking in its perfect mirth.
The flora dance with nimble toes
on grasses filled with juices sweet
as trees recite romantic prose
and flowers sing a flowing beat.
We'll sing ourselves into the night
where shining moons are always full
and gently wake into the light
a sunlit blanket warm as wool.
We'll find this place just you and me
and live in Love's eternal land
where peaceful lives can live on free
forever dancing, hand in hand.

Wow - this was beautiful, nothing else to be said.
The opening reminded me of Emily Dickinson, in some manner, but I just really enjoyed how you wrote this - so warm and loving and peaceful!
Great jb, thanks for entering.
