She knows artistic brush, awakening color,
where legend lives in truthful quiet
of youthful spirit, so soft you sigh it.
Eyes dance river's mind
to find her middle, as restful touch;
not by clutching skin,
but deeper,
breathing wind, beginning mind, to flow,
as universe.
Hers is humid challenge to balanced beam,
a sacred lightning stream that shimmers distance,
too close for word,
like bird
flown east to crescent circle.
I write my wand imagining smile,
a single tear tasting melancholy joy,
age, employing infant laughter
for what is now,
and ever-after watermark to pen and paper;
sweet phasing
frosting Mountain hollow,
curling fingers, stoking kindred craving,
saving her shadow through spreading moonbeam.

This is so beautiful, I am struck quiet, and completely still by the sheer heaviness of the emotions. I have to compliment you're ability to express this inexplicable benevolence, for she is truly a life force in her own right, and I thank you for adding your voice to such a glorious tribute.
Much love always,
Jin

A calmness spread through me as I read this and I felt valued as a poet in a way I haven't before.
Your ending line did bring moistness to my eyes.
Thank-you for seeing how I alleviate personal shadows through my pen. Your words and way with combining nature and all the senses has captivated me from the first read...and I have never known you to fail in rising emotion from me. Thank-you Rich for such an extraordinary penning, just for me!

"Eyes dance river's mind"
As ever, a lovely, serene, wondrously flattering piece, my Friend. How could anyone with a heart not be moved by words such as these? Blue Rew will be thrilled, of course. Good luck in Jin's contest, Scribe.
