I awoke
Into a sleepless dream
As an  Angel stood next to me
so battered and defeated whir her wings
Upon her hands laid out a book
Tears within her eyes
as she held the pages of my life
My Lies
Pain was all she could show
As she spoke
"your life is lost and cold"

Could not look upon her
For it only brought a tear
But when I looked into her beauty
Those eyes so pure
Within I seen my fear

Her voice rang out to thee
"My child spread your wings"
"For you my son are free"
"You are but a chosen few"
"this look of pain"
"Is because of the things you do"
"These battered wings"
"Are the cause of sinful things"
"The destruction you have lived"
"In all the places you have been"
"Every day I walk by your side"
"Through the wickedness and lies"
She opened that book into a page
Of feelings I keep locked away
I felt the fear in my heart
As I realized
I tore this beautiful Angel apart
But why could I not see
This Angel has been apart of me
She answered my thoughts
"Dear child"
"All your years I have fought"
"To keep you"
"And guide you"
"So tenderly"
"my child"
"My voice you could not hear"
"For love you so fear"
"And though this is against the rules"
"I had to appear"
"You are my everlasting beauty"
"I am because you are me"
"In oneness"
"Is how we come to be"
My tears dropped from her eyes
And as I felt her loneliness
She heard my cries
and I knew inside
She is my reason why
And as I awoke
Within my hands
Where feathers my life broke
