Disguised under quiet storms and
wicked green vanity,
I exist.
Silent but for a pen
that scratches black panic
upon ivory anesthesia
and I am complete
when these words make sense
to others in a like frame of mind.
Respect seems like a four letter word
and I am infatuated with its meanings.
I find myself most exposed when I have
wrapped myself in a dictionary and a thesaurus,
an orphan of the English language.
Alone with a vexatious degree
that means less than nothing
but I am clever and I spin
these expressions into illusion,
cotton candy fluff
to make the pain easier to contend with.
Malice tastes like summer
and brazenly, I seduce my reader.
I need acceptance and challenge each phrase
into bearing my will
while envy whets my appetite.
I am an accomplished liar
within the lines of my poetry
and I am whole here.

oh wow, you used all three word banks ? that's amazing ! great job there :]
i... simply put- love it ! the last stanza really amazed me :] idk why, but there's something about it i just love.
your poem as a whole is too brilliant :] i wouldn't be surprised at all if something shiny was coming your way xD i also like your style. how it was just three lines, then a whole long stanza, then a little closer. to me, i think that's interesting and a great way to differentiate yourself from other poems. they tend to be similar, which gets borrrring.
excellent write !!!! best of luck !

So nice! This is so sweet! I love how this kind of reminds me of my childhood when I'd be so lonely I'd read a dictionary!

Good luck in the contest!
