Through the misty woods
We creep as we trot
Scrapping on the soot
Over rocks where we fought
Trying to find an opening
Where we search for a light
A tiny glow seeps through
Foliage in our sight
We rummaged and scrambled
For each one to pass
Letting each one go through
While I wait to be last
Suddenly it’s silent
I wonder what’s happening
When I make my entrance
I see all that’s enchanting
Something we’ve never seen before
Up in the night sky
A beautiful brilliant illumination
That has taken our eye
In pinks, golds and emeralds
We still couldn’t believe
It is unknown to all men
This strange entity
We looked at each other
Wondering what we should do
Went back into town
To tell what we knew
The king’s eye in fright
He refused to agree
He thinks we went mad
So we begged and we plead
But it’s too late
Even all that we’ve said
Upon the silty guillotine
Was off with our head
