The October night sky
Is heavily misted
With the colors of the rainbow
Omnipresent
Yet semi-transparent
I can hear and feel
The simultaneous crunch
Of colorful dead leaves
Between my feet and the sidewalk
The nearly passed harvest moon
Holds no comparison
To the colors
That light up Earths blanket
Bright white from behind
Forces my shadow to grow longer
It's kinda cool
To watch the shadows of my feet
Move in front of me
On the sidewalk
My shadow steadies
Then vanishes
Turning into an unfamiliar voice
Semi-deep
And pseudo-welcoming
Hey man, its late, do you need a ride?
No thanks, I'd rather walk

I think it's beautiful. It made me forget about everything that was going on in my life for just a little while. thank you for writing this. keep on writing. <3 Cassandra

not a problem, thats why i wrote this. walking home from that open mic rading i was at, the sky was just lit up in a way that i hadnt seen since i was a kid and it totally took away from all of the crap that was going on at the time. BTW, you have a really interesting AP name, whats the story behind that.

vivid visual. i am so glad i stumbled upon this poem tonight. i got to go on a lovely autumn walk dispite being stuck in front of my computer working. you have touched all the senses.
if only i can find a poem now about coming in and sitting before a crackling fire amid the wafting fragrance of cinnamon and pumpkin pie someone is baking for me, my evening will be complete. lol
i loved your poem. - NANGALEEMA
