When I was young,
I was allowed to be stupid,
I had much to learn.
Many the ways of others,
their deeds and word
of hurt to discern.
I tried to be their what ?
Then knew not what to be,
no praise could I earn.
I walked my own path
life shows me how
love can still churn.
Now I love freely,
and to whom, my heart
will not spern.
Let others say what
they will, but it
will no longer burn.
It is my choice now,
I give it to who I please,
no call to be so stern.
All it is, is what
in truth, for what we
all do truely yearn.
Author notes
Option Two;
Love is not only a feeling but a choice you make as well.
