Depression

Missing image
Dead to oneself while walking among the living
Emotionally struggling with inner thoughts
Pain constantly in the heart
Red are the color of ones eyes as the tears fall day to day
Endless envy of smiling faces of hope
Sadness grows within
Stifling action and reaction to happiness
Insomnia grips throwing tosses and turns
Oppressing all future probability
Never happy with life

Well done! I love doing acrostics myself and the fact that this was done as a collaboration is even more intriguing to me. Beautiful work from the two of you here!

Well done. I find acrostic poems to be difficult to write well. If one is not careful the poem sounds forced. This one is very well done and not at all awkward.

    Great job.

Ah, how I can relate to this peice. Five years it has haunted me and yet it seems to be all that I know these days. What is it not be like that? D O and N were the most gripping ones for me. Very creative and very good. Thank you for entering my contest.

The second I got to your site and saw the picture of you looking into the camera, I saw a person who was hurt. Your eyes are very telling and very beautiful. stay away from drugs, but I think I am a little late for that personal line. I am so sorry you have been hurt for such a long time. I can sympasize.
This poem was very good. I just wish it were a little bit longer. Not just because you write well, but becuse it is need of a bit more of an expenation. Anyhows, it really is great. Good luck.
