Spinning wheel sits idle in the corner
While musing I pull my shawl to get warmer
Sleepily near dreamlands land of wonder
Memories of love left to ponder.
Familiar scent of dampened wool
Brings back visions of carding still
Washing fleece continually
Even while babies on my knee.
Fires glow on cobblestone floor
Brings thoughts of you and so much more
Building cabin of our dreams
From loves visions we would glean
Everything was made by hand
From top to bottom from the land
Even cradle sitting here
Bring such cherished moments dear.
Moon shining through old pane
Call me back to old refrain
"Give me a nest
Here in the west"
Forever days with you!
