With Each Breath

With each breath there’s a reason to praise You,
every inspiration a blessing of Your love!
In the breath You give, life for each cell,
enabling me to think on You, in Your life to dwell!

With each breath, I pray that I may,
give all the life that I have to Your plan;
glorify You with the gifts that you gave,
be truly thankful for the Son of man!

I know  in and of myself I am nothing,
my life depends on You for all;
I need You to give me the impetus to live,
giving and receiving Your love is my call

Your inspiration gave me the desire to write,
I was but a child with little knowledge, but insight;
thoughts of You and Your creation filled me with adulation,
I needed release my exaltation with delight!

With each breath there’s a reason to praise You,
every inspiration a blessing of Your love!
In the breath You give, life for each cell,
enabling me to think on You, in Your life to dwell!

With each breath there’s a reason to praise You!

    This is a beautifully done devotion. I like how it has sincerity and it is not overly preachy but relatable to all in a lovely, uplifting way. There is a serenity here that reminds me of moving water.

      Thanks!

      I'm so glad you found your way here & left me a comment! I had some editing to do in my AN & I didn't catch that before! Interesting you mention moving water 'cause water Biblically can represent His Spirit! I'm glad you didn't see this as overtly 'preachy' 'cause I am a Music and now 'writing' Minister & I want to be readable to as many people as I can be!
      I am devoted to my Creator & He deserves all the praise for everything I do for & through Him!
