Her life takes on so many forms,
she truly is divine
Wrapped warm and moist in her cocoon,
awaiting the changing time
Slipping down from her branches high,
unfurling her gentle wings
She’s a tree and wind she’s a butterfly,
a plethora of magical things
Softly in a timed ballet,
she floats above the land so free
Soaring high to drink the sights,
as far as the eye can see
Her branches flutter, in the wind,
as her rustling leaves do sing
The joy of shade, with cooling song,
do many people bring
The twisting of her noble trunk,
mix with the leaves she has for hair
Her crystal blues; wink lovingly,
as at her beauty you do stare
Weaving tales of yesteryear,
as you relax upon her roots
That cuddle you, with soothing curves,
and help slip off your boots
Relax a bit, just rest awhile,
dream now about your sunny day
And let her fill your mind with life,
like when a child is out to play
Forever she will be a friend,
she is so majestic and so wise
Comfort you in time of need,
and with pure thoughts advise
Yes; she is part of everything,
all you see and smell and feel
Living in the land of make-believe,
but I assure you she’s quite real
