It was a lovely ending
To a fairytale story
But, in other ways, so faded
The people watched
As the princess and the prince rode away
In a chariot of love
Clouded by feelings of happiness and immortality
But that never stays the same forever, now does it?
Hidden away, in a palace so dark, lies Cinderella
Once her smile shined bright throughout the city
And now its been locked up in a room stories high
She'll bang on the door
And cry
And plead
But nothing will come of her profound sadness
She won't be let out
Its all just a little too pathetic
And what about the prince, the captain, the leader, you may ask
Lets just say...
He's fully aware of the situation
So you see, the people of this city, who witnessed the marriage in all its glory...
They never discovered the ending to the 'happily ever after'
Which in fact wasn't so happy after all

hmm... well, I really enjoyed making this poem! And that was an amazing question... what happens AFTER 'happily ever after'?!
