when you smile
the world moves in awe
and rises up around you
to feel the comfort that spills
from the sound of your laughter
when you cry
the world shudders
and falls to the cold ground beneath you,
I am heavy in your eyes
and I consume your sadness
when you sleep
the world can finally rest
and gently dip into your dreams
dancing through your humble mind
as I kiss your forehead goodnight
when you breathe
the world sighs in relief
and slowly beats against the sun
where fingers print along your skin
molding intricate memories
for every side of you.

This poem is dedicated to Zackary for our upcoming 3 years together as lovers, best friends, and soul mates. There is no one in the world that could ever replace the love and companionship I have found with him. I know he is my life mate, my soul mate, my spiritual protector. Our relationship is long and everlasting, pure in all it's content. On every level we were made for each other. Only do few ever find something this special in their life time and every single day I am thankful for what I have been given. I cannot picture my world without him because I feel as though I've never really lived until the first time he swung his arms around me and we held each other for 17 hours straight. I cannot wait to marry him and to traditionally become his lovely wife. I will watch over you and keep you safe always, the way you always have for me. I love you baby. This is for you.
