ELVIS PRESLEY
Still missed and remains in many hearts,
remembering the king of rock and roll.
Foot tapping whenever the music starts,
sang rhythm and blues to move the soul.
This country boy never forgot his roots,
always thanked the good Lord up above.
Felt real comfortable in cowboy boots,
yes he was a hunk full of burning love.
In blue suede shoes, hips would swing,
played that quitar and made it twang.
God given voice, oh how he could sing,
put his heart into whatever he sang.
Money didn't matter, neither did fame,
first love was family, music, then song.
Down to earth, he remained the same,
tried to do right but things went wrong.
Died much too young by living too fast,
his legacy and memory live on and on.
Songs to be sung as we relive our past,
memories fade but will never be gone.
