Real Love!

Real love is not just how you feel about your partner. It's much more how you partner makes you feel about yourself!

It is not about losing yourself in your partner.  It's about coming true to yourself with your partner!

It's not about how great your partner is.  It's about how great you can become along side your partner!

It's not just about how much you love your partner.  It's how about your partner helps you love yourself!

It's not just about your partner finding room in his or her heart for you.  It's about your partner finding room in his or her life for your energy, drive, ambition, passions, interests and needs.

It's not based on how good your partner is "deep down."  It's based on how you actually experience your partner's goodness as you live your life together.

It's not based on how your partner makes you hungry to be with him or her.  It's based on how your partner makes you feel at home when you are with each other.

It's not about the love you say you share.  It's about the life you really do share, fully, equally and deeply.

It's about treating your partner the way you'd want to be treated.

Real love is about falling in like.

a good piece, aye love is all those things and much much more, so many become complacent in love's ways i feel, we take for grantd what is there in our hearts, until of course it is ripped away because we did not truly love.

    So true

Often we seem to think we are in love & yet not really liking the lover. Strange, but your words hit on the very truth. Love is two blending into & being as one in ALL they do. Even when apart.

    maybe

I would like to think all my pastlovers were also my friends. Sadly that is not true. And as I gather at the gates of New Jersey I get a bitter taste of the truth. Real love? Tis but a dream ,for we have become shallow , hard and self serving. But you poet, if you have found such love then let it be truly magical.
