To be contrite and shunned at the same time...almost has the makings for a broadway musical. Loud; over-the-top, and yet undercurrents of pure emotion that always drive home true pain.
You cry, you laugh, you believe the conflict and yet, thrive on it all the same. No matter how you look at it or how pretty you try to make it sound, you still feel as though part of you was written into that script. Part of you wishes for that happy ending.
You feel forgotten or overlooked. Out of place.
Forget where you came from.
Forget where you are going.
Change.
Be different.
Be anything or anyone other than who you are.
Forget why you fell in love. Heartache can be a close companion.
Reject it. It rejected you.
Trust in nothing.
The only thing that is certain is uncertainty and coupled with your inability to understand makes for permanent changes.
Contrite. Shunned. Heartache.
Did I skip anything?
Author notes
The glorious feelings of being the one spurned but felt as though it was not your fault. Who knows? Maybe I am a crappy friend.

yeah you do suck

well you know we have been through some of this before on the sidelines and although I only have one side of certain things, I do know as you do, that you are not as horrible as you sometimes make yourself out to be.

This is a bit different than mnmost of the other work i've read from you. I like the conversational tone. The implications of the "life is a broadway thing" idea is terrific. I think this is tight and effective. Very nice write. Geo
