Dreamcatcher

Missing image

She caught his goodbye
in the nub of her mouth

and wished her auburn flecks
would hold her clear of autumn.

The deep city night
hushed their taut love cord;
laced it into a web and
sprinkled feathers on each end.

He was her dreamcatcher;
offered her a brilliant star,
but kept the blackness for himself.

    The intriguing nature of the lines made me curious for the images worded by the poet so wonderfully..though I loved it..well done...

    Too many keep the blackness. This is so sad and so true -- tragic that this is too often the case. The blackness eventually swallows even the brilliant star.

    Breathtaking. I love this. You really are a very talented writer -- of which I am sure you are aware.
