Glowing rain drops fall, delicately dancing
Misting your golden hair into damp frail fronds,
Aching to be brushed back by my own soft hands.
The glistening wind frames us with a quiet expectant sigh,
As this delicate moment unfolds.
Hands slowly searching, seeking that sure clasp,
Eyes entwining, bursting in the fullness of joy,
Under the sky's shimmering voile curtain of rain.
Fingers reach out, lightly caressing your face,
Moving the wayward lock from wet parted lips.
We lean so close only a heartbeat apart,
Our warm breath combines with a gasp.
Eyes lit like sunrise, hesitant to close,
As our mouths, lips and minds longingly conjoin.
This slow desperate kiss, fires a passion of perfection,
Trembling deeply intently within !
The wind sweetly murmurs a descant to our minds song,
As the kiss lingers, softly and tantalisingly beautiful,
Aroused lambent tongues seductively make love,
Oblivious to the misty droplets that trickle rivulets
Melding with our tears of intoxication.
Our exultant lips, so reluctant to part exhale exhilaration,
Desiring to drown in this dream forever.
Eyes silently whisper the rooftop shout in our hearts,
The quivering tenderness that is inadequately named love.
